Laser hair removal can be a suitable alternative for those who find waxing or electrolysis treatments too painful. Laser hair removal systems work by emitting pulses of intense lamp-light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicle and converted to heat which then loosens the hair and disables the follicular cells responsible for growing new hair.
Our therapists use Syneron laser technology for a faster, more comfortable and longer-lasting hair removal treatment. Most hair destroyed with the Syneron system will not grow back at all, while other hair may grow back thinner and lighter in colour. Our Albert Park therapists will advise you on how many laser treatments may be required to achieve permanent hair removal, but between four and eight treatments are required.
This form of laser hair removal works several times faster than other light-based hair removal systems with underarms, upper lip or bikini line treated in about five minutes and legs and larger areas in only 15 minutes. Laser hair removal is suitable for all skin types, skin colour, hair colour and hair thickness and can be used to treat any area including underarms, legs, back, bikini line, neck and face with comfort and less down time.

Following Your Laser Hair Removal Treatment
After a laser hair removal treatment you may experience some mild redness and tenderness in the treated area and shortly after treatment. This does not interfere with normal activities and usually subsides within a day. In some cases, the redness may last longer but will still be mild and temporary. You may experience hair growth or stubble for up to two weeks after treatment as the hair in the follicle is expelled.
Our clinic based in Albert Park puts us in the ideal location for clients requiring laser hair removal in Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, South Yarra, St Kilda, Toorak, Caulfield and surrounding areas. We can also help you with laser treatments and facial treaments, including facial peels.
